The winner of MTV Roadies 5.0 Ashutosh Kaushik who made an epical journey from a simple dhava to the tinsel town is all set to chase his Bollywood dreams. Talk about people rising from nowhere, Ashutosh is a true example. The guy made a enigmatic journey from Saharanpur in UP to Kuala Lumpur and finally Bollywood, a journey that had friendship betrayal, competition, rivalry and a lot more than a normal saas bahu serial. But it was not all bad because he finally got true friendship in fellow contestant Sonel.
The 40-day MTV Roadies 5.0 journey taught him a lot, after being rejected in Delhi and Chandigarh, he was finally selected at Jaipur auditions. Ashutosh learnt a lot in the show be it physical fitness or speaking Hindi and English fluently. His winning strategy was to make friends and trusting them with the competitions and winning immunity and finally he doesn’t mind playing some mind games to survive. The one person he hated in the show was Prabhjot who also stood against Sonel for standing by him to win. The Indian man inside him didn’t enjoy staying abroad saying he didn’t enjoy the food and a nice friendly chat would have been better than the skyscrapers.
Ashutosh isn’t afraid to say that he is not good in English and Sonel his lady love always tried to avoid it for his sake. The guy quite naively says he wants to go on a date with her but he needs to understand what a date is. Ashutosh distributed the bikes to fellow contestants but not to Sonel though she always stood by her. He would have probably chosen Nihal over Sonel for the top two positions. Keeping friendship ahead of love.
Ashutosh feels happy to win the Karizma which was dream bike for him but was not able to buy earlier. He also gave all his prize money to his parents. Ashutosh has joined the Anupam Kher School of acting and is hopeful to make himself known in Bollywood. He hopes to get some roles like Akshay Kumar with lot of action in it. He has also got some good offers from filmmakers like Vishal Bhardawaj and Mahesh Manjrekar.
We hope the naivety that this shows remains intact in the naughtiness of Bollywood.
