Christmas is here and to bring the Christmas cheer on, Sushil and Falguni Jhaveri played gracious hosts to Kolkata based Designer Nilanjana Roys’s guests this evening at their Fashion Store – FUEL.
There were celebrations galore at FUEL and on this ocassion of Nilanjana’s new collection launch, Sushil and Falguni Jhaveri said, ” What better time to launch Nilanjana Roy at our Store than Christmas. It’s Party time and her clothes are the best for this season”.
Actress Anjala Zaveri, Model Shamita Singha, Teejay Sidhu, Dipannita Sharma and Roshni Chopra were Nilanjana’s muses for the evening. Karan Vir Bohra accompanied Teejay, while Sudhanshu Pandey walked in alone to cheer Nilanjana. Actress Shruti was seen checking out the new collection.
Nilanjana Roy’s designs are synonymous to sculpturing the sensuality and elegance of feminine splendour in her clothes. Her collections are fresh, elegant and ready to wear that bear a mark of sophistication. Her forte has been mainly evening wear, party wear, casuals, tunics and cocktail saris.
Nilanjana prefers to maintain an understated elegance in her designing of Western or Indo-Western outfits. She has a penchant for minimal works or embroideries on dresses or drapes as she believes Western classicism dotes less on dazzling or intricate works instead looks for proper cuts and flow and the quality of fabrics. Her gowns, tunics and evening wears are fluid in nature having enormous flows and are artfully cut on clean lines thereby, giving a perfect feministic sculpture look. Restrained from elaborate use of colors and embroideries, Nilanjana’s eye for details lies in her perfect tailoring and finessed draping that defines a woman’s silhouette in totality.
