Femina and The Clinic Present White Ribbon Initiative
Mumbai, 16th October 2008: Femina and The Clinic came together in an endeavour to create awareness on osteoporosis at The Club, Andheri last evening, hosted by Tarun Rai (CEO WWM) and Tanya Chaitanya (Editor Femina).
The evening began with cocktails followed by speeches from Tarun Rai, CEO WWM And Tanya- Editor Femina. Ankit Khambatti – CEO The Clinic, Dr. Viral Shah, Chief Consultant, Breach Candy Hospital Mri, Dr Durusha, Program Director, Gynaec World also said a few words. In the midst of the seriousness of Osteoporosis The Vaginal Monologues by Mahabanoo Kotwal Skit sparked laughter throughout the crowd and focused on the lighter side of Osteoporosis.
Contemporaries Pooja Bedi, Queenie Dhoody as well as Priyanka Chopra (Brand Ambassador) were present to show their support as they spoke passionately on the cause and their own personal take. Celebrities Anna Singh, Sonal Chauhan, Alka Yagnik, Nandita Mahtani, Deanne Pandey, Dolly Thakore, Masumeh Makhija, Vikram Bawa among others graced the occasion and were all spotted supporting the cause by wearing a white ribbon.
In an effort to create awareness and also to provide valuable service to the women of India, Femina and The Clinic put together an evening that combined entertainment and education over a lavish spread of dinner.
