Roop got inspiration to read books from grandfather

Published on

Actress Roop Durgapal says her grandfather inspired her to read books.

Roop, known for her roles in shows like “Balika Vadhu” and “Swaragini”, looks up to her late maternal grandfather D.S. Bhatt.

“He was known for his honesty, discipline and for being a taskmaster. It always makes me proud to be part of such an educated family,” Roop said in a statement.

“I got the inspiration to read books from him only as he was a voracious reader. We would often compete who would finish a book first,” she added.

She is currently seen on the &TV’s show “Gangaa”.
