Shahrukh Khan in Kya aap Paanchvi pass se tez hain (2).jpgPaying tribute to yester year films is not new but an eleven minute song is definitely something. Aditya Chopra has recorded a song with Sonu Nigam that will showcase five different eras from 1950s to 1990s. This song will be an important part of the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ambitious film Rab ne Bana Di Jodi.

This eleven minute song will be picturized on Shah Rukh Khan. The song will also play an important sequence in the film taking one important film out of the different era and using it in the film’s narrative. Aditya Chopra was not bale to decide on a good singer and was about to drop the song out of the film when he thought about taking Sonu Nigam. The best thing about the song is that it is solely a tribute from Shah Rukh to legendary actors in the film industry like Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Shammi Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna and Rishi Kapoor

The music for this song has been composed by Salim-Suleiman. Lyrics for this song that has first liners from the most famous songs shot by these romantic stars has been written by lyricist Jaideep Sahni. This meant that the songs will be taken from old films which were sung by great singers like Mukesh, Rafi, Kishore and Jolly Mukherjee. Combining new and old style of singing was not easy for a singer and Sonu was a perfect choice. Sonu who practiced three times for this song shot it in 45 minutes.
