Mumbai, October 12, 2015: As a part of his New Zealand adventure, Sidharth Malhotra, has been announced as the brand ambassador of Tourism New Zealand for India, by the Prime Minster of New Zealand, Mr. John Key. On this joyous occasion, the Prime Minister presented Sidharth Malhotra with an All Blacks jersey at an official gathering in Wellington, New Zealand today.

During their conversation, Sidharth discussed with the Prime Minister how he believes there are big opportunities to promote adventure tourism in India. The Prime Minister also shared his experience from his last Indian trip. During their meeting, Sidharth also had an interesting conversation with the Prime Minister to discuss the opportunities for the Indian Bollywood fraternity to come shoot the beautiful locations in New Zealand.
Speaking about the meeting, Sidharth Malhotra, Ambassador for Tourism New Zealand, India expressed his excitement, “Being presented this title by Prime Minister John Key himself is a matter of great honour for me. I feel privileged to be immersed in the Kiwi culture. I have been in New Zealand for two days now and have experienced warm Kiwi hospitality first hand. I am really excited about the rest of the trip and can’t wait to experience more of New Zealand’s unique offerings.”
Marking the special occasion, Tourism New Zealand arranged a special screening of Sidharth’s latest blockbuster movie ‘Brothers’ for his special fans at the Roxy theater.
Tourism New Zealand Chief Executive, Kevin Bowler said today, “India is a really important and fast expanding market for New Zealand tourism and it is great to be able to welcome Sidharth on board as our tourism ambassador for India. The fantastic welcome that Sidharth has received in New Zealand demonstrates how popular he is, both here and in India. It is particularly significant that the Prime Minister has agreed to meet Sidharth to hear about his work with Tourism New Zealand and to hear a little bit more about the activities that Sidharth will be involved in this week and the people he will meet. It is a great way to prepare him for his new role with us.”
During his New Zealand trip Sidharth Malhotra will be visiting the regions of Auckland, Wellington, Queenstown and Northland.
