South star Kamal Haasan‘s much hyped Vishwaroopam the Tamil Version is yet to release in Tamilnadu, Meanwhile the collections of Vishwaroop in Hindi was not encouraging at all. In the first weekend, its collection was a miniscule Rs 7.5 core as far as Hindi version is concerned.
The actor, director Kamal Haasan who says he mortgaged his house for making the film spent more than Rs 900 million on making of the thriller. He and almost every analyst was hoping the film will be a super hit instantly in the North India where it has been running in cinema’s without much trouble, but things don’t look encouraging anymore as far as its Hindi version is concerned. The film that was banned in Tamil Nadu just days before its release is finally ready to be released this coming Friday. “The film will release all over Tamil Nadu on Thursday, Feb 7,” said Kamal in a statement.
Race 2 ultimately collected 15.50 Crores nett in 2nd weekend which was 1 Crore lower than what was expected and that happened due to not so great Sunday. But still considering 1st weekdays’ trend, figure is fairly good. On 2nd Monday, film should collect 1.60 Crore nett and that will take film’s 11 days total to 93 Crores nett plus. Film should easily add 4 Crores nett in 2nd week and that means film will stand at 97.50 Crores nett.
If we add the Overseas Collections of Race 2, The total sums up to 118.50 Crores.
