Mumbai, February 25, 2009: REAL will go on air from 8 p.m. onwards on March 2nd, 2009. Catering to the needs of the urban oriented, progressive and outward looking “Neo-Indiansâ€, the channel promises to offer an entertainment experience that is positive, fun and joyful. REAL will offer a wide variety of programming with an equal blend of fiction and reality shows.
Says Sunil Lulla, Director, Real Global Broadcasting Pvt. Ltd., “Starting March 2nd, REAL will launch with three hours of original programming with a dynamic blend of fiction and reality shows. The initial line-up will have two reality shows and three fiction shows. The channel will have fun, positive and joyful programming that will reflect real people, real situations and which will be a mirror to our everyday lives. REAL will begin with the true Indian spirit beginning with the National Anthem’. â€
11 am onwards, REAL Ki Kahaaniyan will showcase what the channel has in store for India. At 8 pm, the channel will mark the beginning of its programming in true Indian spirit, by showcasing the ‘National Anthem’.

Poker Face, the internationally successful quiz-game show where One Indian will surely take away Rupees One Crore in just 7 Days. Hosted by Sharman Joshi, this week long show will air from Monday, March 2nd to Sunday, March 9th at 8 pm
Sarkaar Ki Duniya, India’s biggest reality show designed in India, where 18 Indians meet on a remote island and, under the watchful eyes of its autocratic ruler, Sarkaar, are tasked to transform the island. Watch Ashutosh Rana as Sarkaar assign grueling tasks which not only to put the contestant’s mental and physical strength to test but also make the island a habitable place. Hindi Hai Hum, a compelling drama which brings to the forefront the underlying spirit of unity amongst India’s youth. Vicky Ki Taxi, a weekly show where unusual stories unfold in the unique setting of a taxi, with taxi driver Vicky playing the role of a reluctant messiah. The charming Pawan Shankar, essays the role of Vicky who hides a heart of gold beneath his rough exterior. To be aired every Friday at 9 pm
REAL is a digitally encrypted pay channel and will be distributed through the Zee Turner bouquet.
