Janam Datta is now renamed Basera

The hit jodi of Ram Kapoor and Pallavi Subhash is back on screen with the new show titled Basera on NDTV Imagine. Earlier, the show was titled Janam Datta, the story is based on the Hindi Film Baghban.

The star cast in lead includes, “Ram Kapoor and Pallavi Subhash as husband and wife. While Priya Bhateja, plays the daughter of the house. Akshay Anand and Amit Jain are also the part of the show,” says our source.

Sagar Arts show is based on the story line of the film Baghban. “The story does depict the tension of Ram and Pallavi that no child should forget their parents, especially when they grow old and need them.”

Talking about the change in the title, our source informs, “Janam Datta was a working title and there were others too, but finally the production and channel zeroed down to Basera as it is short and goes well with the story line of the show too.”

When asked about the timeslot our khabroo converse, “Well nothing much has been decided on it, as of now. But there are chances that the show might take the 9.30 pm slot, that of Rakhi Ka Swayamvar. Channel is still thinking on that.”

So viewers get ready to see Ram in an all-new avatar as he plays Big B on small screen.
