Taj Lands End on 27th January, 2009 witnessed SRK’s debut television venture. The show is called ‘Ghar Ki Baat Hai’ and is produced by Red Chillies Idiot Box. The show kick started with a small but extremely entertaining skit performed by the members of the show featuring Sumeet Raghavan, Juhi Babbar, Swapnil Joshi, Jayati Bhatia and Ali Asgar.
They are joined by a host of other talented artists. Ali Asgar entertained the crowd and managed to make them laugh by playing a Nepali watchaman, better known as ‘Bahadur’.
Bahadur called in one by one all the members of the family of Ghar Ki Baat Hai who performed a rib tickling skit. Finally the Bahadur called in for the President of the society, Shah Rukh Khan and the crowd just could not stop applauding.
Shah Rukh gave a brief speech covering everything from Ghar Ki Baat Hai to NDTV Imagine. He was later joined in by his dear friends Aziz Mirza, Creative director of the show, Ananth Mahadevan, Director of the show and then finally by Sameer nair, the CEO of NDTV Imagine. A small promo of the show was also shown.
Shah Rukh later answered all the queries of the media, someone of them where a bit twisty but Shah Rukh managed them all with his witty answers.
The event was indeed a great one, especially when Shah Rukh Khan was there to entertain his audience.
The show goes on air from 30th January, 2009, every Friday to Sunday at 9.30 p.m. only on NDTV Imagine. -Sampurn Media
