Kunal Khemu meets his look-alike Indian Idol 4 contestant Remo Ghosh on 17th December 2008(2).JPGUnbelievable but true. The North-East Frontier has crumbled. So strong was the support for Sourabhee, Remo and Kapil that they were expected to hold fort until the very end. But in a shocking result, young Remo Ghosh who has been winning over his toughest critics with his performances in the past few weeks, is gone out of Indian Idol.

at Indian Idol 4 introduces their finalists in Mumbai on 10th November 2008 (7).JPGHistory repeated itself on Saturday on Indian Idol. It has been a pattern that the one who performs best finds him/her left out in the voting pattern. It happened to Bhavya, it happened to Prasenjit too. As with Priyanka, who was eliminated the very time that she came into the danger zone, so with Remo. He was out the first time he landed in the bottom two. Shocked out of his wits at the result, the seventeen year old spunky youngster showed his maturity in the way he handled the unexpected situation.

Laughing, joking and supportive of all his senior contestants till the end he won over more hearts as he bid good bye to the show that plucked a youngster from Nagaland and brought him into the limelight in the city of dreams – Mumbai. “Indian Idol took me from zero to hero,” he says. Now the youngster hopes to return to Mumbai for good with his family. “I am going to comeback and continue my studies say the first year Commerce student. I will now start learning music!” His only regret in leaving the show at this juncture is that he will not be there to share the stage as a Top Three finalist. “I am more than happy to come this far on the show. I did not have a cell phone and now I have one!” he says with a wink and adds, “But it is human nature … yeh dil maange more!” Yet his love for his “Kapil bhaiyya” is more than evident as he says “I hope it is Sourabhee and Kapil bhaiyya in the finals.”
