The trailer for Columbia Pictures and Imagine Entertainment’s latest offering, Angels and Demons, already at 1.2 million views on YouTube, promises to deliver more action and story than The Da Vinci Code. With the casting of Ewan McGregor, Ayelet Zurer, Stellan Skarsgård, Pierfrancesco Favino, and of course none other than Tom Hanks, an apparently high pace delivery, Angels and Demons, based on Dan Brown’s bestselling prequel to Da Vinci Code, the new movie seems set to out perform The Da Vinci Code.

Tom Hanks reprises his role as Harvard religious expert Robert Langdon, who once again finds that forces with ancient roots are willing to stop at nothing, even murder, to advance their goals. Ron Howard has directed Angels & Demons & also co-produced it in association with Brian Grazer and John Calley. The screenplay is by David Koepp and Akiva Goldsman. Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) will release the film worldwide on May 15, 2009.

“I was of the opinion that there could be some problem with Angels & Demons too, before we began the project, as our The Da Vinci Code has faced a lot of wrath. But our anticipation of fear is coming to an end with the response of people towards the trailers of the film. I am sure that Angels and Demons would interest people more than The Da Vinci Code. When Langdon discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati – the most powerful underground organization in history – he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization’s most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. ABOUT THE FILM

In “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian,” the four Pevensie children – Peter (William Moseley), Susan (Anna Popplewell), Edward (Skandar Keynes), and Lucy (Georgie Henley) – are summoned back to the magical land of talking animals and mythical creatures, where they discover that more than a thousand Narnian years have passed since their last adventure and much has changed. The White Witch may be dead, but Narnia is under the sway of a tyrannical new ruler, King Miraz (Sergio Castellitto), and the Pevensies must unite with the young Prince Caspian (played by British actor Ben Barnes) in an attempt to restore peace and harmony to the once happy land.

The new film reunites the original creative team behind the blockbuster first film including veteran director / screenwriter / producer Andrew Adamson, screenwriters Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, and producers Mark Johnson and Philip Steuer. “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” is the second installment of the seven book series. The film opens worldwide in May 2008.

The movie Cloud 9 has Burt Reynolds as the lead cast and along with other stars like Ex-Miss USA, Kenya Moore and the internationally acclaimed volleyball star–turned-supermodel Gabrielle Reece and supermodel and the former Playboy Playmate, Angie Everhart, the movie Cloud 9 is worth keeping your eyes glued onto. Cloud 9 is produced by Albert Ruddy (Al Ruddy) who also produced the Godfather and Million Dollar Baby and is directed by Harry Basil.

The story is much akin to our Bollywood ‘Chak De’. A washed out former star, who is in need of money and an ambition to be fulfilled works towards a get rich plan and starts a volleyball team whose players consist of a group of beautiful athletic strippers. Burt Reynolds efforts in forming the world’s sexiest beach volleyball team with the strippers, is seen as a rib tickling comedy. Eventually though as the girls’ popularity swells, they want to win the crowds with their abilities, and not their bodies where these girls team up and play a match against actual volley ball players.

The story revolves around two young Navy men who are warped 40 years into the future, when a top-secret experiment goes awry. Philadelphia Experiment is certainly a compelling and likeable little time-travel adventure.

It is based on a true incident, which was an alleged naval military experiment at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, sometime around the date of October 28, 1943, in which the U.S. destroyer escort USS Eldridge was to be rendered invisible to human observers for a brief period of time. It is also referred to as Project Rainbow.

This true story, although controversial, but nevertheless has caused a significant ripple effect in many conspiracy theory circles, and elements of Philadelphia Experiment are featured in many other government conspiracy theories.

In the film we will see the two navy guys – Michael Pare and Bobby Di Cicco – unwittingly participate in the experiment to make their battleship invisible to enemy radar, and then things are seen going horribly awry. The battleship literally vanishes, tossing them right into 1984.
