Sanjaya not returning calls to perform at fest
London, July 20 (IANS) Sanjaya Malakar, the controversial Indian-American contestant of hugely popular US TV show “American Idol”, wants to stay below the radar and has not answered calls of the Plymouth Rox Summer Fest organisers. TMZ.com reports that the organisers read a story on the site and got inspired to call up Sanjaya to invite him to perform at the fest, but he has not answered their calls.
Sanjaya gained infamy as one of the most colourful, if not necessarily the most talented, contestants on “American Idol”. He managed to captivate audiences by coming up with wacky hair styles for the competition.
