The movie American Violet is reminiscent of the news story that was aired in the year 2000- the cops had arrested 40 blacks from a small Texas town on drug abuse charges. A former mentally disturbed person tipped them off about the accused. Among the arrested was Dee who was mother of four children and she did not possess any drugs nor she had any history of drug abuse.
