Noel Gallagher says he shelled out £1m on ‘beautiful’ drugs
London, July 5 (ANI): Rocker Noel Gallagher has confessed that he shelled out a staggering million pounds on drugs, which he called "the most beautiful thing about being in a rock band."
The Oasis star also slammed Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for not trying the hedonistic excesses in an interview with an Italian newspaper.
"I look at Chris Martin who says he has never taken drugs in his life and I think he is an idiot," Sky News quoted him as telling Corriere Della Sera.
"Doing drugs is the most beautiful thing about being in a rock band. Up until 1998 I must have spent 1m pounds on drugs then I stopped because it is bad for your health, brain, life and for people around you.
"But while you use them - except for heroin which kills people and which I have never tried - as you lot (Italians) would say ‘Mamma Mia’," he added. (ANI)
