Shabana’s jig at ‘Love, Breakups, Zindagi’ music launch

Veteran actress Shabana Azmi, who is usually seen bearing an intense demeanour, behaved quite to the contrary when she broke into an impromptu jig at the music launch of “Love, Breakups, Zindagi“, a film produced by Dia Mirza, Zayed Khan and Sahil Sangha.

The event included live performances of the songs of the film by the playback singers. Shabana got so excited when Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Salim Merchant, Sulaiman Merchant and Shradha Pandit were singing “Rab rakha” that she got up from her place, called over Dia and danced with full enthusiasm.

The audience, along with Shabana’s husband Javed Akhtar, who has penned the lyrics for the film, was not only surprised at this but also thoroughly enthralled.

The event witnessed the presence of Sanjay Khan, Akbar Khan, Fardeen Khan and Jacky Bhagnani among others.

“The enthusiasm of young directors and producers about their first film can kill anybody. Their enthusiasm almost physically assaulted me to get some songs out of me,” an amused Javed Akhtar told reporters.

“It was really a pleasure working with Dia, Zayed and Sahil and also to work with Salim-Sulaiman. I’m really happy and proud to associate with them,” he added.

Love Breakups Zindagi” is a romantic comedy and is slated to hit the screens Oct 7. Along with Zayed and Dia, it stars Cyrus Sahukar, Tisca Chopra, Pallavi Sharda, Satyadeep Mishra and Umang Jain.
