Well, another week has gone by and in between all the buildings falling and other calamities, we survived. After another arduous day of work it is unbelievably refreshing to log on the net and find something interesting. Truly, Bollywood stars go to no end to bring a smile on our faces and keep us happy. Is it not nice to know that someone out there is going through so much trouble to give us that 1 minute of thrill?
Emraan Hashmi with Geeta Basra
Let’s start off nice and easy with a little bit of chuckling, shall we? FINALLY, Emraan Hashmi has got another passable movie under his belt. There is space for a lot more as since his debut in Murder, he has done nothing but trash. So taken is he by the acceptance of his film, that he has managed to convince himself that it is a hit, and not a mere one at that. He continues to sport the same bearded look as in the movie. Who wants to follow in AB junior’s steps? Well, I guess Emraan does for sure! Wonder if Himesh Bhai will also soon sprout a beard? Ah…then there will be some hair pulling for sure!
Talking about fights, well, it seems that Bollywood has managed to keep a showdown of considerable voltage below wraps for quite some time now. Word has it that Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan are hot for each other. No, no. not in love silly, but everytime they see each other, they get super heated. Everyone on the sets of Salaam-E-Ishq walked around carefully because these two could blow up any instant. When asked Priyanka pooh poohed at this and said that there is no one else she is more fond of. Well, we all know what THAT means in Bollywood lingo right? It means, “God! I can’t stand his guts but got to be civil right?” Don’t know what is going on with them, but guess it works for both their careers right?
Career wise, an old girl is back in town. Masumeh (I know, you don’t remember her), who had her debut film titled Chupke Se opposite Zulfi Sayed is apparently back with a bang. Not only one film, she has three in her pocket now. Courtesy Sanjay Gupta, the actress will be seen in Alibaug, Dus Kahaniyan and another yet untitled film. No prizes for predicting her state of mind right now. But I still think that it would have been better if she wiped out her past and started out with a clean slate instead of mentioning the “come back”. She would at least be taken more seriously and judged less harshly then.
The Deol clan is sure on a high, what with their film Apne doing decently well. The charts show that the film is going great guns in the Punjabi belt. Is it not but obvious that other star khandaans will want to jump on the family saga band wagon immediately? Ha ha…they are way ahead of us normal folks as the hot news is that the Khanna parivar is following suit with a film starring Vinod Khanna with Rahul and Akshaye. When quizzed about this, the youngest immediately got on the defensive and denied any such venture. But now we know not to be surprised if we see the promos of a certain film in the future.
Urmila Matondkar
Mon dieu! It is indeed bad to hear that our twinkle toes Urmila Matondkar will be out of action for a couple of days. No, it’s not because she has no more roles or that the Mehbooba number is done with. The truth is far more trivial. You see, she is not into work outs and as a lark, just decided to give it a hand. Turns out, along with the hand, she also gave her ankle! The petite actress has sprained her ankle quite badly and is confined to the house. Not too much of a strain as it won’t stop her from going to the parties that she never attended in the first place.
Now we have just about heard it all…remember Abu Salem’s girlfriend-Monica Bedi? Of course you do, from two bit movie roles and also the odd starring ones? Last seen, she was in jail. But for want of stable proof, the actress has now been acquitted. What a dream come true. Another dream that she wants to pursue is to return to Bollywood. Sure enough, now that she is established and has been in jail for 2 years, it is no surprise that she will be treated as hot property in our industry. Our insiders say that a lot of producers are already clamoring after her. I can see it now-a gruesome film about police injustice which stars real life victims Monica Bedi and Abu Salem!
Udita Goswami
Mohit Suri- though he is just a few films old in Bollywood, he has learnt the ropes pretty well. Same goes for Udita Goswami. The speculations that the two are an item have been going on for a long time now. In fact, some are ready to swear by the news that they are living together. After the acceptance of Awaraapan at the box office, Suri has decided to take the next step and tie the knot with her. Though the two of them are zipped shut about t, his uncle Mahesh Bhatt has no qualms in saying that the two are very close together and their relationship will most likely evolve into marriage. Oops, no one told Bhatt Saab that it was supposed to be a secret; but anyway, don’t think it would have mattered.
Whew! I’m tired after regaling you with our usual-some gossip, some news and lots of fun. The best part is, it never changes! So it will be great to see you in a week with more of what you love.
