The monsoons always come unexpected. Even when you know the rainy season is just around the corner, the first shower catches you off guard and drenches you to the core. But then again, that is also the most enjoyable part about the rains, right? It feels superb when you get to run a hot bath, relax in your favorite jammies and curl up with a cup of hot coffee to get to know the latest gossip in our tinsel town. It is so fascinating to get to know the hooky that our dear stars get down to in this awesomely romantic season – passions flare and daring declarations are made; don’t we love it all? We certainly do. So here we are to whisper the sweet nothings they have been up to into your impatient ears…

Rimmi Sen

A little birdie told us that Golmaal is going to have a sequel. The backers of the movie too feel that since the movie was admired so much, a sequel would get the cash registers ringing. If Dhoom can do it, who can’t they? Hmmm…interesting point. But here is the catch – they plan to increase the eye candy in this sequel. Rimmi Sen is totally out of the picture; she is replaced by four other actresses who will basically smile, dance in short clothes, and act stupid. Hum ho! Where have we seen that happen before? Just a word of advice to the brains behind this decision – please do not call it Golmaal again.

Tanushree Dutta

What?! Not exciting you huh? Well, hear this one out – We can all agree that when Tanushree won the Miss India crown, she was in really good shape. But her svelte body gradually turned round. Her explanation, or rather justification for this is that it was on purpose that she did it – all for the hungering south Indian fans who wanted to make her their new idol. Well, that’s a really innovative and smart answer darling, but please also explain a little about the hideous dressing sense. This dusky damsel has been chastised more than once for her less than appealing styling. Bips just added to that list recently when she said that Tanushree was in dire need of a stylist. Guess she pushed the right button because guess who is Tanushree’s new stylist now? It’s none other than famous international stylist Babita Malkani to the rescue. Well, we sure hope she works her magic soon and saves Tanushree further embarrassment.

Rajnikant and Amitabh Bachchan

In our last conversation we mentioned the huge blow to IIFA when south Indian super star Rajnikant politely turned down the honor of being felicitated but none other than the IIFA ambassador- Amitabh Bachchan. Guess Rajni did not want to hurt anybody’s feelings, least of all Amitabh’s. So he organized a very special viewing of his latest mega hit- Shivaji-The Boss for the Big B. what can we say? This mega star of south Indian cinema wins everyone over with his humble and friendly ways, so how could Big B resist this? Kudos to one master for acknowledging the other.

Speaking of Shivaji- The Boss, a great big deal has been made out of it no? It’s like so big that even non south Indians are going just to watch what the deal is all about. Mais there is much ado about a big thing here. After the film has gotten rave reviews and has been declared a universal hit, there comes a law suit. The film’s assistant director Sudalai K Jayarajadevan claims that the story was HIS and the script was HIS, but his boss stole it from him. Guess he came to know who the real boss is huh? But on a more serious note, he demands that the film’s screenings be halted till this jangle is sorted out. We at least are curious to know if the film, which is the next big thing, is going to be pulled out of theatres.

Daler Mehndi This one is really a funny one- Daler Mehndi- the king of Punjabi pop now tunes his vocal cords to robust Telugu music. No, we are not kidding, this Punjab da puttar is singing for a Telugu film called Yamadonga. Imagine it if you will-him doing the Tara-ra-ra steps to a Telugu hot number. Guess he needed to really get away from Bollywood for a while after the whole fiasco with Yash Raj films. Apparently the mega film maker did not take Daler’s permission before dubbing one of his songs with Shankar Mahadevan. There is a lawsuit worth 1 crore filed against the film company and Daler’s has a lot of support. Reports have it that his group of angry well-wishers is growing by the minute and there is some serious effigy burning happening. Scary one for Yash Raj…

Ekta KapoorSpeaking of film companies, boy do we have some news! Soap Queen Ekta has decided to move out of her tele kingdom and venture into the league of the major players. She has decided to make a film called C Company. And guess who her partner in crime is? Why it’s our very own muscle man-Suniel Shetty. She is giving her Saas-Bahu soaps a break and is giving debutante director Sachin Yardi a chance to make it big. You nay recall him as the writer of films like Kya Kool Hai Hum and Traffic Signal. The film stars Suniel Shetty and Tusshar Kapoor. All we can do is feel sorry that Suniel has to finance films in order to be seen on the silver screen and Tusshar has to turn to his sister for the same. We can barely wait for this venture to begin because it will be fun to see who the will be the hero and who will be the fiddle.

Ajay DevganWe always thought that the monies are the most important but Anubhav Sinha seems to think differently. Why, he got the producer, Sohail Maklai’s name removed from the movie! When the main lead Ajay Devgan opposed this, he promptly went ahead and shot an entire song without the lead character. Actually, he used a body double, but wait, that only makes it worse! Furious with this, the brooding star has lodged a complaint against the director at the Cine Artist Association. Very soon we will tell you what the fate of this over confident director is.
