Sultan is perhaps just one day away from being the third highest grossing Bollywood film. Over the last twelve days, the film has scaled remarkable heights and earned INR 260 crore.
It currently stands behind PK, Dhoom 3 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Trade analysts believe it is going to overtake Dhoom 3 shortly.
There was negligible competition at the box office with Great Grand Masti being the only other release.
With Kabali and Madaari releasing on the 22nd of July though, Sultan is going to lose business.
Kabali will be releasing on one thousand screens in the north and has even been dubbed in Hindi.
