On Thursday, makers of Bank Chor hosted special screening of the film to industry people in Mumbai. Bollywood celebrities like Aftab Shivdasani with his wife Nin Dusanj, Aamir Ali Khan, Sanjida Shaikh, Karishma Tanna, Mohit Marwah, Adah Sharma, Akriti Kakkar, Tara Sharma, Ali Zafar, Kartik Aaryan, Richa haddha and Meiyang Chang attended the screening.
Vivek Oberoi and Ritiesh Deshmukh , both are coming together for this filmfor the fourth time after their previous successful collaboration on films like Masti, Grand Masti and Great Grand Masti.
Bank Chor narrates the story of three amateur bank robbers, Champak, Genda and Gulab (played by Riteish, Vikram Thapa and Bhuvan Arora), who stage a heist at the wrong time. Vivek Oberoi will be seen portraying the role of a cop, Amjad Khan, who has been called to catch the trio. Bank Chor also stars Rhea Chakraborty, who will play the role of a journalist, Gayatri Ganguly.
Ahead of the film’s release, Riteish Deshmukh stole posters from popular Bollywood and Hollywood movies in order to promote his film on social media. From Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma‘s Jab Harry Met Sejal to Salman Khan‘s Tubelight, the spoof posters surely made us laugh.
The trailer of Bank Chor was unveiled by the makers of the film on May 9 and highly praised by Bollywood celebrities like Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu.
Bank Chor also has an appearance by rapper Baba Sehgal, who has also contributed in scoring the film’s music
This is the first time Vivek Oberoi and Riteish Deshmukh film will release with U/A certificate because earlier they collaborated in adult comedies.
Bank Chor is releasing in India on June 16 on about 800 screens, the comic thriller directed by Bumpy marks the feature writing debut of Baljeet Singh Marwah and is produced by Ashish Patil, head of Y-Films, the youth wing of Aditya Chopra’s production and distribution powerhouse Yash Raj Films.
