Satish Gupta’s exhibition of large sculptures and sculpture paintings (a new concept) opened last evening to rave reviews and admiring audiences. Jaya Bachchan who likes the artist’s works inaugurated the show. Mrs Bachchan who looked gorgeous in a red saree walked with Satish Gupta who explained the works. Gallerist Tarana Khubchandani of Gallery Art & Soul played the perfect host spending time with guests.
Kumaramangalam Birla couldnt help admiring the amazing large sculptures and spent considerable time with the artist. Suneil Shetty came in later. Among other guests present were – Pritish Nandy, artist Ajay De, Raell Padamsee, Maneck Davar, renowned architect Nosher Talati with wife Rashna, Praveena Mecklai, Kishore & Rekha Shivdasani. ‘Transcending Eternity’ will show at Jehangir till Feb 18 after which it moves to Gallery Art & Soul from Feb 19 to March 12.
