SBC Million Race

Lesser fancied Dancing Dynamite scored an impressive but surprising victory in the SBC Million, the feature event of the concluding day of the Mumbai Racing Season 2007-08 at the Mahalaxmi Race Course on Sunday. Favourite Giannatassio finished poor fourth. Trainer Pesi Shroff won the trainer’s championship sending down 40 winners while C Rajendra was adjudged best rider with 35 wins. Young Nadeem Alam was named the leading apprentice jockey with 13 wins to his credit while he also bagged the award of leading apprentice jockey with allowance.
