Gauhar Khan, Kunal Khemu at Mod’art fashion show

Mod’art International presents the Graduating Fashion Show – 28th May (7pm) at the Crystal Ballroom, Hotel Sea Princess, Juhu .

Mod’art India, a subsidiary of Mod’art international Paris, conducted a fashion show for their graduating class. The third year graduating students showcased their collection.

Nishant Joshi, (CMD, Mod’art India) hosted the Graduating Fashion Show. A high voltage runway show showcasing the talents of the aspiring student designers which was well choreographed by Shamita Singha. The models that walked the ramp included Candice Pinto, Mashoom Singha and Asif among others.

Nishant Joshi (CMD, Mod’art India) proudly said, ” I am very proud of all the students this year and am impressed to see all the efforts of the students who have put in their hard work for 8 months to put up the collections.”

Guests who came to cheer the students were Kunal Khemu, Gavin Miguel, Carol Gracias, Gauhar Khan, Arpita Khan, Nihaar Pandya, Prashant Chadda and Suved Lohia amongst others. Mr. Patrice De Place from Mod’art Paris was also seen admiring the effort of the students.

Shamita Singha who has choreographed the show says, “Both us sisters love working with Modart every year as it is the most avant garde institute in the country, churning out some really talented designers. The management too is very easy going and always open to new ideas”.

The graduating students showcasing the collection were as follows:
1. Vatika Gupta – Her collection is inspired from the game Othello and therefore is a black and white collection.
2. Devki Advanii – Her collection is called “Smokes ‘n’ Melts”4.
3. Amanjot Bajwa – collection is all about a girl who represents independence, strength, individuality

The students were all excited and cheering their fellow classmates. A lot of fresh talent was admired by the guests.
