Ali Fazal to felicitate Judi Dench (Movie Snippets)

Actor Ali Fazal will felicitate his “Victoria & Abdul” co-actor Judi Dench at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.

Dench will be honoured with the annual Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Films.

Ali will be joining three of her co-stars for a special tribute presentation, his spokesperson said in a statement.

He will be delivering a speech at the ceremony, in which he will be joined by actors Jeff Bridges and Armie Hammer,

The film fest is to be held at the end of next month.


I hate politics: Ekta Kapoor

TV tsarina Ekta Kapoor is not a fan of politics.

“I hate politics. Brothers fight. Parties win and people lose,” she tweeted.

On the work front, Ekta is co-producing director Abhishek Kapoor’s “Kedarnath” — which is a love story set against the holy temple town of Kedarnath, and the makers are hoping to release it in summer 2018.

The film will feature Sushant Singh Rajput and will mark the Bollywood debut of actor Saif Ali Khan‘s daughter Sara.


Hard to get work done in December: Rana Daggubati

Actor Rana Daggubati alongside other celebs like Vir Das and Gauahar Khan say it’s hard to work in December as they are in a holiday mood.

“My favourite month of the year begins! It’s so hard to get work done in December because the holidays have started in my head,” Rana tweeted on Friday.

Taking to the micro-blogging site, Vir wrote: “It’s December. A month where 99 per cent of the people you know pretend to work while secretly booking tickets, reading year end lists, and subtly checking what your plans are to see if they’re missing out.”
