Actor Deepankar Dey, who will reprise his grandfathers role from Bengali show “Bhojo Gobindo” in its forthcoming Hindi TV remake “Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki”, says he is extremely attached to the character.
“I’m very excited to be part of ‘Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki’. I have been a part of the original show where I played the role of Dadaji. My role in the new show is also the same. I am extremely attached to the show and my character.
“When I was approached for its Hindi remake, I took it up instantly because I thought it will be exciting to portray the same role in different language for a different set of people. I hope the audiences give the same amount of love and appreciation that we received for the original version,” he added.
“Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki”, which will also feature Vishal Vashishtha, Sweta Battacharya and Rupanjana Mitra, will be aired on Star Bharat starting from January 1.

Vindhya Tiwari joins ‘Kunwara Hai…’
Actress Vindhya Tiwari has been roped in to play Koyal Kapoor in the comedy show “Kunwara Hai Par Humara Hai”.
The actress will be seen performing on the show’s New Year special episode.
“I love dancing, and a very few people know that apart from acting, dancing is also my passion. I am glad that I got an opportunity to perform for the New Year special episode,” Vindhya said in a statement.
Vindhya has previously appeared in shows like “Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo”, “Diya Aur Baati Hum”, “Sasural Simar Ka” and “Sumit Sambhal Lega”.
