Majority of Americans did not want Donald Trump: Michael Moore

Published on

Filmmaker Michael Moore says people should feel good about the fact that “majority of Americans did not want Donald Trump as their President”.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton should “take some comfort that your fellow Americans are with you”, Moore said on a TV show, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

“He has an ideology that he believes in and it’s called Donald Trump. That’s what he’s going to make sure that he’s gonna take care of. Take comfort,” Moore said while giving message to Democrats during the interview.

“I think Democrats, people that voted for Hillary. (I) feel good about the fact that the majority of Americans did not want Donald J. Trump as their president,” Moore said.

Referring to Hillary’s victory in the popular vote but loss with the electoral vote, he said: “Take some comfort that your fellow Americans are with you.”

Moore also said that he saw Trump’s victory a mile away and he tried to set up a meeting with Democratic leaders this summer “when I knew that this was happening.”

“I live in Michigan. I don’t live in the bubble. People saw Trump as their human Molotov cocktail that they wanted to throw into the system and blow it up.” he said.
