Around 20 musicians will be seen jamming together on a single platform at the Hungama Bollywood Music Project, which is set to take place here on September 30.

Presented by Radius Developers, Hungama Bollywood Music Project is a two day festival which will be curated by an advisory panel featuring stalwarts from the music industry such as Rekha Bhardwaj, Hariharan, Sajid-Wajid and Sunny MR.

They will aim to nurture and inculcate new ways of consuming Bollywood music and promote these experimental forms globally.

“We are extremely excited that the music industry has now got an official festival that represents Bollywood in an experimental form. There wont be typical performances where you get to hear what you see in the movies. Bollywood Music Project will be a breath of fresh air for music lovers,” Bhardwaj said in a statement.

“There will be a lot of unique collaborations and rearranged version of our commercial songs. It’s time we celebrate home grown and Bollywood music in particular, that make up more than 60% of music consumption in India. Bollywood music project can be a game changer of sorts. It will change the way Bollywood music is perceived and consumed in a mass level,” the “Judaai” crooner added.

Music lovers will see a mash of Bollywood music genres such as rap, sufi and unplugged.

The line-up at the festival includes names like Amit Trivedi, Arijit Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Badshah, Papon, Divya Kumar, Mohammed Irfan, Shefali Alvares, Joe Alvares, Hariharan, Akhsay, Sajid -Wajid, Sachin -Jigar, Shalmali Kholgade, Nakash Aziz and Zubeen Garg.

“When TM Talent Management approached us with the idea, we saw merit through our scale lens and decided this is the next big thing in music, Bollywood presented in a festival format in an alternative and experimental culture. Moreover, it makes great concept and business sense for us as a part of our core business of live event Ips,” Deepak Chaudhary, Founder and Director of Event Capital said.
