Veteran actor-filmmaker Suresh Chandra Menon is making a comeback with Suriya-starrer Tamil action-comedy “Thaana Serntha Kootam”. But contrary to reports, he has not been signed on as the antagonist.
“It’s true that Suresh will be playing an important role. However, he isn’t playing the baddie. Director Vignesh is very keen on not repeating his actors and prefers going for less familiar faces as he believes he can surprise audiences with them,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.
Last known for directing and acting in 1993 Tamil film “Puthiya Mugam”, Suresh is donning the greasepaint after two decades.
“Thaana Serntha Kootam” goes on the floors on November 9. It will be shot in Chennai, Madurai, Karaikudi and Hyderabad.
The rest of the cast and crew are being finalized.
To be produced by Studio Green, the film will have music by Anirudh Ravichander.
