The Sufi Route to support projects of Kailash Satyarthi’s foundation

The Sufi Route, a global travelling festival celebrating Sufi music, will support projects and programmes under the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation.

The initiative by INvision Entertainment, Friday Film Works and Invloed Matrix will start its journey from here on November 18 to inspire ‘A Billion Acts of Peace’ over the next five years.

The fest will support the cause through a financial model and also create awareness through the wide audience reach. The cause includes programs and projects like BalMitra Gram (child-friendly villages), victim assistance (children rescued and rehabilitate) campaigns against child trafficking and child sexual abuse (India and global), annual event Leaders and Laureates Summit and the 100 million for 100 million campaign for a safer and better world for children globally.

The ‘100 Million for 100 Million’ Campaign was launched in 2016 in India under the leadership of Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi. It aims to mobilise 100 million youth and children for 100 million underprivileged children across the world, to end child labour, child slavery, and violence against children and promote the right of every child to be safe, free, and educated, over the next five years.

Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman will perform at the event, apart from Nooran sisters, Mukhtiyar Ali, Hans Raj Hans and Dhruv Sangari. There will also be writers and poets Javed Akhtar, Manoj Muntashir and Kaamna Prasad. The Whirling Dervish Ceremony from Turkey will also perform at Sufi Route.
