Saiyami Kher who is gearing up for the debut Marathi film said costar Ritesh Deshmukh is lovely to work with.
The actress was spotted a the beach cleaning Campaign on Sunday morning.
When asked about Saiyami’s upcoming Marathi film and when the shooting for the film ‘Mauli’ starts she said, “We are actually shooting for the film last night, I came here directly from the shoot. We started shooting some 10 days ago and I am really enjoying the experience, Ritesh is lovely to work with I am looking forward to the film coming out.”
Actress Saiyami Kher was last seen in “Mirzya” directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, costarring then debutante Harshvardhan Kapoor.
While talking about her association with Adidas and the cleaning campaign Saiyami said, “We Adidas runner come here every Sunday morning to clean the beach. 3 years ago Afroz sir started this and we have accumulated so much it is going to take a while to get rid of all of that. We try and do as much as we can every Sunday as we clean up.
What Adidas has done by incorporating cleaning in their business is amazing the shoes I am wearing right now is made out of 11 plastic bottles. I feel very proud to be part of this association.”
The actress also said it is saddening to see the after-effects of carelessness Mumbai has caused as a city. “I felt really sad when I was cleaning because I got to see what we have done to the city then we realize the gravity of the situation. My father is from Bombay and he used to tell us that 30 years ago the water here was blue, we could find dolphins and coral in the water. and within 30 years what we have done is very saddening.”
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film ‘Mauli’ is produced under Riteish’s banner Mumbai Film Company.
With Ritesh Deshmukh and Saiyami in lead roles, the film has already gone on floors and Saiyami excited for the its release.
‘Mauli’ is scheduled to release early in 2019.
