On 8th January 2013, actors Rajeev Khandelwal and Tena Desae, along with director Aditya Datt, attended a press meet at Mehboob Studio in Mumbai for their upcoming movie, Table No. 21. The movie is a thriller that revolves around a couple who win a trip to Fiji and are forced to play a deadly game with the resort owner, played by Paresh Rawal.
The press meet was attended by a number of media personnel who were eager to know more about the movie and the actors’ experiences while working on it. Rajeev Khandelwal spoke about how the movie explores the theme of truth and lies, and how it is relevant to modern-day society. Tena Desae talked about her experience of working with Rajeev and Paresh Rawal, and how she had to learn scuba diving for her role in the movie.
Director Aditya Datt spoke about the challenges of shooting the movie in Fiji, and how the cast and crew had to face extreme weather conditions during the shoot. He also praised the actors for their performances and said that the movie would keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
The press meet was followed by a trailer launch of the movie, which received a positive response from the audience. Table No. 21 was released on 4th January 2013 and went on to receive critical acclaim for its storyline and performances. It remains one of the most popular thriller movies of Indian cinema.
