Ten selected world classics would be screened by Trishur based Kerala Lalithakala Academy as as a part of its Cross Country National Art Exhibition to be held at the Durbar Hall Art Centre from November 20 to 30. V. Venu, Principal Secretary, Department of Cultural Affairs, will inaugurate the exhibition on Thursday at 5.30 p.m.
On the inaugural day of the exhibition, Les Dites Cariatides by director Agnes Varda will be screened at 7 p.m. Other films will be screened from 6 p.m. on the consecutive days. They are: Dreams (Akira Kurosawa), Moment of Innocence (Mohsen Makhmalbaf), The Serpent’s Egg (Ingmar Bergman), A Woman is a Woman (Jean-Luc Godard), Amarcord (Federico Fellini), The 400 Blows (Francois Truffaut), 3-Iron (Kim Ki-Duk), Drunken Angel (Akira Kurosawa), Picasso: The Man and His Work (Edward Quinn) and Girl with a Pearl Earring (Peter Webber).
