November 13, 2010 : South Indian actress Lakshmi Rai is one of the busiest actresses in the industry these days. The actress is reportedly working on three Malayalam films in addition to the Kollywood offers that she has in her kitty. Therefore, with so many films to shoot for, Lakshmi Rai hardly has the time to put a foot down in the years to come.
The actress, who has also been a model before stepping into films is presently in the Asian country, Bangkok where she is filming her Kollywood project ‘Mankatha’. Soon after returning to hometown Chennai, the actress will have to swap roles for her other films, claims reports from the South Indian media. With so many offers at hand, it would seem that the actress is playing second fiddle in at least some of her films. That, however is not the case. A source close to Lakshmi Rai says that the actress has been offered pivotal roles in all the movies that she is presently working on. In ‘Mankatha’, where she will be paired opposite Ajith, it is Lakshmi Rai’s character which helps in the progress of the story of the film.
Lakshmi Rai’s Malayalam projects include ‘Christian Brothers’, ‘Casanova’ and ‘Yodha 2’. Apart from ‘Mankatha’, the actress will also be seen in another Kollywood venture ‘Kanchana’, which is a sequel to the film ‘Muni’ and where Lakshmi Rai is the only addition in the second edition.
