September 4, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Malayalam movie’ Anwar’ starring Prithviraj and Prakash Raj has finally set the release date on October 15. Malayalam actress and playback singer Mamta Mohandas is the heroine of the movie.
Amal Neerad has written and directed the movie. Earlier, the makers planned to release the movie in July but then it was set for a Ramzaan release. The release date was again postponed for a week by the producers Red Carpets since the production work of the film was not complete.
The story of the movie deals with terrorism and the protagonist is reportedly a terrorist. He appoints people from Kerala, gives them training to use arms and ammunition and they are later used as suicide bombers. Prithviraj will be playing the title role and Prakash Raj is playing an important role as well. Another Malayalam actor Lal is also an important part of the movie.
In January 2010, the official website for ‘Anwar’ was launched. The shooting for the movie started in March 2010 and the main location was in Kochi.
Recently, many terrorism cases happened in Kerala so the plot of the movie has attracted attention of many people.
The movie has been produced by Raj Zacharias and Satheesh Kurup has done the cinematography.
