December 6, 2010 : Tamil star Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendar aka STR has very high hopes for his next Tamil project ‘Vaanam’, which is a remake of Allu Arjun, Manoj Bajpai and Anushka Shetty starrer Telugu movie ‘Vedam’.
The shooting for Tamil remake is presently going on at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. STR, who plays the male lead role of ‘Cable’ Raja, is very appreciative about the film’s heroine Anushka Shetty. He says that the actress, who also played the same role in Telugu version, is a great dancer and a wonderful person.
Now, they are shooting the scenes of Anushka and Simbu, which includes a peppy dance number too. This was not included in the original Telugu version. They are shooting a fast dance number choreographed by Ganesh Hegde and tuned by Yuvan.
STR considers this project to be very close to his heart as he loved the original movie. He has also penned down the lyrics pf the song ‘Yevandi unna pethan pethan’ and also lent his voice to it. The song is already making it to the top charts and STR is hoping the movie will give a total new experience to his audience.
‘Vaanam’ also stars Sneha Ullai of Lucky fame, who is making her debut in Tamil films with this movie.
