Actor Vicky Kaushal says his journey has been organic in the film industry, on the sidelines of NBT Utsav Awards in Mumbai.
Dapper actor Vicky Kaushal made his debut with social drama Masaan in 2015, the film recently clocked its four years, so did the debutante actor.
Talking about Masaan and his journey in film industry, actor Vicky said, “It has been a very organic journey, since the time Masaan came out in 2015, it’s been four years and it feels great. I didn’t even realize how these four years went by! I got to work with some really good people, I got learn from them, I got a lot of love, and it feels great. Some characters stays with you, and Masaan was one such film. I still feel good remembering the film”
“It feels great and good, when you’re appreciated and loved and encouraged. It feels great and you get inspired to push the envelope even further, work wise, to do better films and more work. God has been very kind to me, I got so many opportunities and with those opportunities, I got so much love, it is a great feeling” added actor.
Recently Vicky Kaushal’s movie ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ was screened across 500 theatres in Maharashtra to commemorate ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ and actor is just grateful for the love.
When asked about it, he said, “It was very special, in fact, I had no idea, I came to know through RSVP movies, who took the initiative and I am very happy that today here at the event, I got to thank chief minister of Maharashtra on stage for making it happened in the state. And It is nice to know that people are still interested in to watch URI”
Vicky Kaushal won the Finest Actor award for his performance in the film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’.
The actor has an interesting line of releases in coming time, including, The Vanishing Act, Udham Singh and Takht. He will also be seen in ‘Bhoot: Part One – The Haunted Ship’ and Meghna Gulzar’s untitled project based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
Vicky Kaushal also quipped that he is not doing Rakesh Sharma’s biopic. When asked about his name being pitched for the role, he said, “No, I am not associated with this film, Rakesh Sharma Biopic”.
