Talent power house Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar join hands for the gut-wrenching tale of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The film is titled Chhapaak and also stars Vikrant Massey opposite Padmaavat actress.

Here come the big announcements from Deepika Padukone’s next film, which is titled Chhapaak, the film also stars Vikrant Massey and will be helmed by Meghna Gulzar. It is based on a heart-warming and gut-wrenching tale of acid victim survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
The talented actor Vikrant Massey just confirmed the film on his Twitter profile and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity. He tweeted, “Honoured to be part of #Chhapaak! Thank you @meghnagulzar Ma’am for giving me this opportunity & believing in me. Looking forward to working with the supremely talented @DeepikaPadukone”
Stunning and gorgeous Deepika Padukone also welcomed the newbie onboard and replied, “Welcome to the team @masseysahib !!! Thrilled to have you on board!!!”
Post marriage to Ranveer Singh, actress Deepika is all set to face the camera. Her next is a film based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal that will be directed by Meghna Gulzar of Raazi fame. The actress will also co-produce the film.
Meghna divulged that the film will be shot in Mumbai and Delhi and that prosthetics tests were underway.
