Richa Chadha, who is sharing the screen space with Kalki Koechlin for the first time in Jia Aur Jia, says their collaboration has definitely raised the curiosity level.
Two of the most stellar performers, Richa Chadha and Kalki Koechlin, have essayed some brilliant roles in the past. They’re both fabulous actors and yet, have never worked together. Not until now, Jia Aur Jia brings both the actors together.
“I am happy and excited to work with Kalki for the first time because it brings a new element. When two different people, who don’t normally do a film like Jia Aur Jia, but suddenly people see them together in a film like this, it generates curiosity about the film, I would like to believe that and it has been great working in the film” said Richa Chadha during her recent media interaction.
Helmed by Howard Rosemeyer, the film is a story of two women with the same name who come together for an exciting journey that proves to be life-changing in more ways than one.
Talking about her character, Richa Chadha quipped that she is playing a grumpy and angry girl in the film
“My character is grumpy and angry. I am playing a girl who is always sad” said Richa.
Distributed by Bluefox Motion Pictures, the film Jia Aur Jia is scheduled to release on 27 October 2017.
Apart from Jia Aur Jia, Richa Chadha is also geared up with the second installment of Fukrey franchise, titled Fukrey Returns, the movie is slated for 8 December 2017.
