And then there was a clap of thunder… And I saw him in a blinding flash of lighting, his silhouette now clear to my fear filled eyes. As he took off his cap and came towards me, I backed away, praying that god save me. But the time to be saved vanished as he opened his mouth and let out a high pitched nasal sound….and then I woke up screaming from my bed, drenched in sweat. Oh yes, it was a nightmare alright, but this guy was haunting me! Ever since I saw the movie Aap Ka Suroor – The Movie ( God, I can’t believe he called it that!), I am haunted with similar images which terrify me to death. So this is for all those of you who can still be spared the experience of watching the movie.

The film is about a hot throb singing sensation called HR ( Yes, it does stand from Himesh Reshammiya) who is on a tour of Germany. Whilst on this tour, he falls for his delectable and sugary sweet PR representative Riaa (Hansika Motvani). But then there is Ruby ( Mallika Sherawat ), who is a partner in the event management company organizing the tour, who also has the hots for HR. Because of his innocent move for Riaa, HR turns a blind eye to every other female who lusts after him. Obviously, this does not go down well with Ruby. All hell breaks loose when a TV journalist is murdered and all fingers point to HR. He is thrown in jail. Riaa turns into a damsel in distress as her father plans to get her married. HR has only one option – run away from jail and find the real killer.
Ah! Such an original script and such creative characterization! I really thought I was going to kill myself. I should have walked out, but I sat mesmerized, the same way a moth flies into the light. I really could not believe that any man can be so vain as to spend so much of money making a film for himself and creating such a hullabaloo about it when it is so obviously bad! No one in their right mind would ever let this be done to himself. Himesh Reshammiya is seen with a set of emotions that only range from brooding to sad to angry to …I think that’s about it. The worst part is that they all look the same! His dialogue delivery is pathetic and he manages to stumble across very ineffectively. Hansika Motvani – God knows how she became the heroine as she is jail bait! She is too much of a kid and it shows on screen. Mallika is the only one who got off good with this film as she plays the vamp with aplomb.
Kudos to Prashant Chadha for making the best of this impossible film. His treatment and stylized manner of dealing with the story are a great try, but that still does not mean its ok. The nasal twang is redundant and it haunts you (believe me). My serious recommendation? Please spare yourself the trouble and protect yourself!

the movie is good. what crap u rite. hansika cute n’ hr adorable.
Kusma you found the movie good? :O
I saw the movie last afternoon with a FF button held tightly to finish the x hrs. of a movie in 45 minutes.
One more production of this kind from Prakash Chadha, he will be dead meat.
HR2 the cartoon showed more emotions than the mortal called HR.
Kusuma … first a reality check…. NOBODY IN THE FILM COULD ACT!!!!!
The plot was too annoying and repeated and the thought of anybody falling in love the bear of a lead actor the so called “heart throb” is just sick and well not POSSIBLE!
I think it is well established that this movie was worse than a piece of crap.
well…ppl….u all think tht she’s just 15 but she’s not….. i saw her intrview on zoom n she said tht she’s 20.
I thot the movie was crap except for the songs..himesh can sing.
