Front runner of content driven movies, Abhay Deol and Patralekha are paired for the first time in dark romantic comedy Nanu Ki Jaanu, now the film has a release date.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the release date on social media. He wrote, “Abhay Deol and Patralekhaa… #NanuKiJaanu to release on 6 April 2018… Directed by Faraz Haider… Produced by Sajid Qureshi”
While not much is known about the film, it is an after life love story with dark humour wherein Abhay will be seen in the role of a Delhi land mafia agent. In the film, his character deals with major twists and turns. However, things get worse when an unexpected guest comes into his life.
The Happy Bhag Jayegi star Abhay also shared the poster on the micro-blogging website, when he started shooting for the film. He wrote, “Started work on a new film! A dark comedy, my favourite genre. #Nanukijaanu.”
Nanu Ki Jaanu is coming out on 6th April 2018 and it will now lock horns with John Abraham and Diana Penty-starrer Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran.
Earlier, the Abhishek Sharma-directed film was to be out on March 2. However, very recently it was announced that it had been postponed to April 6.
Nanu Ki Jaanu is directed by Faraz Haider of War Chhod Na Yaar fame. The young director earlier worked with Abhay on Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! where he was the chief assistant director. The film is produced by Sajid Qureshi.
