Alia Bhatt Starts Shooting for Kalank

Alia Bhatt hit a master-stroke with her latest release Raazi. She won accolades for her role, performance, and dedication towards her craft in the period spy drama. Now the stunning actress has reached the sets of Kalank and kick-started shooting for her part.

We all know, Varun Dhawan is working really hard for his role in Kalank, his gyming videos are the talk of the town. Now Alia Bhatt has joined the ensemble.
Kalank is an upcoming period drama film directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Fox Star Studios. The film stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles.
The official handle of Nadiadwala Grandson shared a video of Alia Bhatt on social media profile, confirming that actress has started shooting for Kalank.
They captioned it, “No Monday blues for @aliaa08! It’s time for #Kalank Video Courtesy – @aliaa08 #SajidNadiadwala @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18 @DharmaMovies @foxstarhindi @WardaNadiadwala”
Interestingly the movie was planned by Johar with his father 15 years ago. After the success of 2 States, Johar and Nadiadwala together wanted to produce the film with Varman as the director. The actress Sridevi was supposed to do the film but after her sudden death, Madhuri Dixit came on board. She will star in the film opposite Sanjay Dutt after many years.
The film is slated for 19 April 2019 release.
