Anil Kapoor will star Harshvardhan Kapoor? who has been cast the lead for the upcoming film based on Gold Medalist Abhinav Bindra, took to social media to express his excitement for working with father Anil Kapoor.

“Going to be sharing screen space for the first time with my dad in my next movie #Bindra. I’m happy to be working with my dad, but also nervous because of his stature as an actor #MixedBagOfEmotions I look forward to learning from him and also making memories. This movie just got a whole lot more special #LetsDoThis @anilskapoor” captioned the actor on Instagram.

He posted a collage with father and Abhinav Bindra with his father.

Harshvardhan Kapoor confirmed that he would star as the shooter in an Instagram post that captioned “Beginnings are very special. Especially when you get to play a character that has made the nation proud on the world stage. I am stoked to have been chosen to play #AbhinavBindra and hopefully will do justice to the man, the legend!”

Abhinav Bindra became the first Indian sportsperson to win an individual gold medal at the Olympics when he won the 10 m Air Rifle event at the 2008 games, held in Beijing. He finished fourth at the Rio games in 2016 and then announced his retirement soon.

Harshvardhan debuted in 2015 with Rakesh Omprakash’s Mirzya opposite Saiyami Kher. His upcoming films include ‘Bhavesh Joshi’, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane under the banner of Phantom Films. with Harshvardhan in the Abhinav Bindra biopic
