Ankita Lokhande would love to Marathi films if she gets exciting film offers

Television actress Ankita Lokhande who is making her bollywood debut from Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika’ has said that she is ready to work in Marathi films if would get exciting offers.

Ankita was interacting with media on the sidelines of 6th Mirchi Music Awards Marathi on Tuesday in Mumbai.
When asked Ankita whether she is keen to work in Marathi films being a Maharashtrian, she said, “I would love to work in Marathi films. If people will approach me with exciting offers to work in Marathi films then I will surely work in it and I am waiting for offers from Marathi films industry”

Talking about attending 6th edition of Mirchi Music Awards Marathi, Ankita said, “This is my first Marathi Awards where I am performing so I am very excited because I am Marathi and it’s my first opportunity to perform here and its really big thing for me that I am performing for the first time for Marathi film fraternity. My act in the award show is combination of Marathi film song and one Bollywood song and it has Arabian feeling to whole choreography and costumes”

Talking about her performance in Mirchi Music Awards Marathi, Ankita said, “It feels really nice and I feel Marathi films and bollywood is the same thing as it falls under Indian cinema but I think performing in front of our people is ultimate feeling. I really had good time meeting with all Marathi actors. I know Amruta Khanvilkar really well so it’s nice to me your people, its kind of different but it’s nice feeling to have”

‘It was very difficult and different. I have performed all forms of dance but this was very different so I did lot of efforts to prepare for the show and I know I forgot some of my dance step also but I am sure audience will like it”

Ankita Lokhande made headlines recently when it came to light that she had been roped in for the Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. Now, the famous TV star has finally started shooting for the historical biopic. Ankita kicked off shooting for the film at Ramoji film city, talking about her Bollywood debut, she said, ““I hope audience will able to see me onscreen very soon and my only hope that audience would appreciate my work because they have always given me positive feedback for my work”

Apart from Ankita, Tejaswini Kolhapure, Viju Khote, Kunal Ganjawala, Sudesh Bhosle, Suresh Wadkar, Aditi Govitrikar, Kavita Medhekar, Smita Gondkar, Sadhana Sargam, Sai Tamhankar, Amruta Khanvilkar, Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar and Sonali Kulkarni attended 6th Mirchi Marathi Music Awards.
