Bollywood Celebs Support Zaira Wasim

Celebrities like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sridevi, Jackie Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez and Bhumi Pednekar came out in support of Zaira Wasim and condemned the incident which took place Mid-Air.

“Dangal” actress Zaira Wasim has detailed a harrowing experience of being allegedly molested by a middle-aged man while she was on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai. The 17-year-old National Award winner shared her ordeal via an Instagram Story. Now the entire Bollywood have rallied in support of young actress.
Toilet Ek Prem Katha” actress Bhumi Pednekar expressed that people need to stop thinking of an actress as her property in India on the sidelines of Lux Golden Rose Awards.

“I am really applaud, she is really just a child. This is a problem in our culture where people think, especially if you are an actress that you are their property, which I think is a huge issue. But I am very happy that she posted on the social media, she took the step because it takes a lot of courage to step out and take a stand for a thing like that so more power to her” said Bhumi

Kareena Kapoor Khan also expressed her reaction, she said, “I think women are way more superior to men. We are fighters and whatever the situation might be in our life, be is personal or professional, we all come out as fighters because like I said before, we call our god Laxmi, we pray to her and she is women, and we talk about our land, we call it motherland (Dharti Maa), so women are way more superior, we will fight out of every situation in life”

Senior Actress Sridevi finds the whole episode shocking. She said, “It is very unpleasant thing to know, it is really scary and very upsetting. It really scares me, so what do I say, I am in shock”

Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez also voiced her reaction stating society needs to work together to tackle such issues.
“I think, obviously we have to continue working hard at making sure that everyone enjoys equal rights. There is absolutely no tolerance towards violence. So I think we need to continue working towards that, and this is a joint effort, society has to work together for it” added Jacqueline.

Jackie Shroff expressed his anger over the incident. He said, “What can I say; it is such a shameful thing. Someone doing something like this to our mothers and daughter, of course you feel bad”

According to the last update, a senior executive named Vikas Sachdev, has been arrested and charged for allegedly molesting Dangal actress Zaira Wasim on a Delhi-Mumbai flight on Saturday.
