Kajol doing cameo in Kumar Mangat’s film One Two Three
Kajol is coming back in films and this is a cause for a lot of her heart broken fans to rejoice. But whilst she is looking after her own career, she is also playing big sister to the hilt. What I mean to say is that she is looking into sister Tanishaa’s sagging career. Apparently she is doing a cameo in Kumar Mangat’s film One Two Three. Needless to say, Tanishaa is one of the leads in the film. Word is out that Kajol is doing this just for baby sis. Personally, I really don’t think there is any need for her to try to help Tanishaa’s stalled career because there is not one to begin with. Really, who can remember anything other than the skin fest in Neal n Nikki? But as they say, blood is thicker than water…
Talking of blood, looks like our superstar Shah Rukh Khan is trying to find someone or the other to pitch against. First it was the whole matter of Om Shanti Om, now it’s the release of his next flick, Chak De India. This highly hyped release is pitted against the Blue Umbrella, a UTV venture and word is out that UTV is not too happy about this clash. Things are not finalized yet but looks like this Pankaj Kapoor starrer is going to back down before the formidable YRF and King Khan. Either that or they leave it to lady luck.
Oh this reminds me, there are a few stars that are quite superstitious. Some change their names, some carry idols with them, but Hrithik Roshan – he is different. At the beginning of each movie, he selects one perfume after much deliberation. He gives this so much thought because throughout the shooting, he wears only that perfume and nothing else. Talk about beliefs huh? I just can’t help wondering what he does when he is shooting for more than one film…?
Gandhi, My Father
Anil Kapoor is one worried man these days. The reason for his worries is very legitimate. Under his banner Anil Kapoor Films, we will soon be seeing Gandhi, My Father. Quite the perfectionist, Anil has seen to it that the movie is not dubbed in Hindi, but has shot two times in English and Hindi. He has taken quite a gamble because this film focuses on the Mahatma’s personal relationship with his son. So it is a shock when just days before the release, his Gandhi is seen playing the villain in Aap Ka Suroor -The Movie. Will people accept someone who played a villain as the Mahatma himself? This is what is bothering Anil. Well, we are an open minded bunch and for one of our favorites, we will let this pass, right?
And while we are on Himesh, the great singer has come up with a two in one package for film makers. Along with his singing and music, they get his acting too. But it’s not for free. What I’m trying to say is that the self made singer and actor is now refusing to work with those film makers who do not give him screen space. If they want his voice and music, they will have his face too. What I’m waiting to see is whether he mints money or will end up selling mints!
A switch in vocation seems to be on the pretty Lara Dutta’s agenda because she is walking around with a very self satisfied smile nowadays. This is not only because of the release of her upcoming film Partner, but also because she is trying her hand at writing (no pun intended). A very straightforward girl, she does not believe in being a quiet about things. She has two scripts she is working on- one a period film and the other a romantic comedy. Well, hope she does not end up making demands that she and only she will act in all the films she scripts!
Now for the brain buster – Bipasha Basu certainly believes in living it up. Maybe her new motto is playing hard to get and believe you me, she is doing really well. First we hear about things not being too great with the hottest couple in Bollywood. Then John dispels these “rumors” and insists that everything is hunky dory. Though we didn’t hear Bipasha reflect his statement, we did see her mingling with ex flame Dino Morea. Then, she is seen getting extra pally with Bollywood’s bachelor number one – chote Nawab. THEN she is seen almost making out with Manchester United star, Christiano Ronaldo. Wow, verity sure is the spice of life. One can’t help wonder what she is up to and at the same time feel sorry for John who is really down in the dumps. The newly proclaimed “single woman” has broken at least 4 hearts. One can almost hear the cracking. But still, the original beau has not given up and still wants to work things out. Isn’t that sweet? Wish all guys were like that. It seems that he is pleading with Bips to come down to Pondicherry where he is shooting, but this beauty queen is not having any of it. In fact, she turned down a cameo in One Two Three just to avoid Pondicherry and John…
