SRK Is Honored By the French Top Culture Award

This week Bollywood has a great lot to be proud of. Bollywood’s favorite hero Shah Rukh Khan has been selected by the French government for the prestigious Arts et des Lettres (Order of the Arts and Literature) award for his ‘exceptional career’. The club of actors who had been previously conferred with this award includes the famous Leonardo Di Caprico, Bruce Willis, Sharon Stone, Uman Thurman, etc.

SRK’s most recent movie ‘Don’ was partially shot in Paris. It was the French ambassador in India Dominique Girard who suggested SRK’s name to the most prestigious award in this field, and the government was selecting him for the honor unanimously.

Bappi Lahiri Sues Abhijeet for Defamation

Bappida’s emotional outburst at a recent mockery made by Abhijeet does not just end there. The veteran Bengali composer is ready to file a defamation suit against the young Bollywood singer for his remark on him as ‘besharam sangeetkar’. According to Bappida, the offensive remarks made by the junior artist on him can be seen as an attempt originated out of frustration in order to get noticed in the industry. The fight between the two had become open after Abhijeet’s separation from Zee’s Sa Re Ga Ma.

Bips’s still busy

Bipasha is a bit irked about the recent comments from the public about her close association with Saif Ali Khan and also about her appearance in a party with Dino Morea, her ex-boyfriend.

The reason for the rumours: John is out of town. She says he’s busy with the shooting of Nagesh Kukunoor’s movie, Aashayein at Pondichery. About the gossips about her recent dinner with Saif, she responds with a bit of annoyance. For her, Saif is her colleague for the movie ‘Race’, and she gets along with the actor very well. What’s there to hype about a dinner that lasted only for half an hour?

Shilpa Shetty Caters the Indian Flavor

A hectic schedule follows the Indian actress who made her presence felt through the Big Brother show. After the IIFA award function at Yorkshire , she is back in London . She was busy with the launch of her much awaited perfume that is being officially launched this week. Her next plan: concentrate on her restaurants that she is opening up in London. Though she has not finalized the name of her future chain of restaurants in London , she is pretty decided on the cuisine. It will serve healthy ethnic Indian food. By giving the taste of the quality Indian food, Shilpa is all set to challenge not only Jade Goodie, but also the other restaurants across London.
