Bruna walks for Sports Illustrated bikini issue launch

Sports Illustrated India launched their Iconic Swimsuit Issue 2013. Kate Upton on the cover & Shot over all seven continents!! The grand launch of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue at Hotel Sea Princess, Juhu took place on Friday , 14th June, 2013. Piyush Sharma & Siddhanth Aney of Sports Illustrated launched the swimsuit issue.

The guests who cheered the models during the swimsuit fashion show and enjoying the music included Pooja Gupta, Bruna Abdullah, Ashwin , Shama Sikander and alex, Nikhil chinapa, Ashish raheja, Ishq Bector, Amy bilimoria, Shruti Sancheti, Neha Gundecha, Nishant Joshi, Adam bedi,Hanif Hilal ,models Himani , Siddharth rawal Reshma and Suleiman. Merchant, Ryan Tham amongst others.
The event showcased the creations of biKa Swimwear. Showstopper Bruna Abdullah was the showstopper for designer Ambika Sanjana’s swimwear range.
Since its inception in 2011 biKa Swimwear has conquered the vibrant cities of Miami, Los Angeles, and Mumbai. biKa’s collection has dipped into the rich culture of Turkey for its inspiration this season.

Hollywood’s A-listers such as Maria Menundos, Mariah Carey, Eva Longoria, Amanda Righetti, Kristian Bauer, Emmanuel Vaugier, Rachel Smith, Camilla Luddington, and Kendra Willkinson , take pride in owning a biKa bikini.

The entire show was choreographed and styled by Nisha Bedi and the hair and make up of the models done by Sylvia Chen, Butterfly Pond.

About Sports Illustrated Swimwear Issue

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is published annually by magazine, Sports Illustrated. The cover photograph features fashion models wearing swimwear in exotic locales. All models featured on the cover of the swimsuit issue in the magazine’s history have been successful women. According to some, the magazine is the arbiter of supermodel succession. First published in 1964, it is credited with making the bikini, invented in 1946, a legitimate piece of apparel.
The 2013 issue includes Kate Upton on the cover in Antarctica – the first ever fashion shoot on the continent. This iconic issue had a team of 100 people put together the tremendous effort of travelling around the globe to keep the legacy of Sports Illustrated alive and pulled off something that no magazine has ever done before. The 2013 swimsuit issue is the first issue that has been shot in all the seven continents over a period of 7 months.
The seven continent workout covered more than 90,000 miles from four seater bush hoppers to icebreakers, from heat waves to subzero wind chills. Exotic locales included The great barrier reef in Australia, the diamond laden dunes in Namibia, the sandy beaches of the Bahamas and more.
Sports illustrated India is committed to pushing the boundaries of sports journalism and is launching their 2013 swimsuit issue in a glitzy event with a fashion show by biKa Swimwear for this iconic issue.
