Actor Arjun Kapoor attended red carpet event jointly organized by Hello Magazine and Audi on Thursday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Arjun stated his upcoming film ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’s director Dibakar Banerjee is very clear director while approaching a film.
Arjun Kapoor next will be seen in Dibakar Banerjee’s fim ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ along with Parineeti Chopra which is produced by Yash Raj Films talking about development of that film, Arjun said, “Right now, I am deeply involved in Dibakar sir’s film. I will not go much into details of it because it will come out soon. I have been travelling with him, I spent lot of time with him in Delhi to get into skin of the character. It’s a film that is based in a realistic texture so I had to spend time to connecting with that world where the film is set, so I am working hard on that”
“Dibakar sir very clear director. He knows exactly what he wants from his actor so he took commitment from me while signing the film that days of film shoot will be equal to days of preparation for the film so that is what I am doing right now”
Earlier, there were reports that Arjun Kapoor was considered for Kabir Khan’s film based on India’s 1983 cricket world cup win but eventually Ranveer Singh grab the opportunity to play character of Former Indian captain Kapil Dev in the film, so when asked him is there any regrets of not working in that film, Arjun said, “I don’t think that is the question to answer because primarily, it’s not something that’s I am doing. There are too many facets and factors involved with certain film so it is inappropriate on my side to talk about these issues. If and when I do feel speaking about things which are others people films then I would, but I feel it’s unfair to the cricketing legends that are involved with this film for us to trivialize the film. It’s an important film for the entire nation so I don’t want to trivialize it by talking about my personal aspect that is not I feel is necessary”
Arjun debuted with Parineeti Chopra in Yash Raj Films ‘Ishaqzaade’ and now again he is working with her in two back to back films, talking about Parineeti, Arjun said, “I will next be seen with Parineeti in ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ and after that our another film is ‘Namastey Canada’ so in the next year I will be linked up with Parineeti only because for the next entire year I am working with her only”.
Talking about Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, Arjun said, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a fabulous director and because of him the tradition of large scale cinema has come in the film industry. He is one of the few directors who give film that look, feel and scale where audience get excites to have cinematic experience in theatre and he also brings larger than life characters who are real on the big screen”
“I am very excited for Padmavati. I share great bond with Ranveer, Deepika and Bhansali sir plus, I am equally excited to see Shahid in the film because after long time, there will be two hero film so it will be good for the audience and industry as well because two actors working together is always a good thing”
