When asked what advice would she give to the Miss India contestants as a former pageant winner of Miss Sri Lanka Universe in 2006, she said, “First of all to do this takes guts, all these present here are very courageous women. It is not easy being up here and going through this competition And i just want to say this to all of them you are already a winner. Reaching this first step is the hardest one but you have done it and now you can achieve anything.”

The actress also said it is also important to enjoy the process, “I was a pageant winner myself so I know that it takes a lot of focus and dedication. Of course you have to enjoy the process but because it is a competition you have to work your hardest. This is a competition that scrutinizes you on your fitness, Etiquette, speak and so many more things so you have got to be focused and work really hard on all of these things.”
