Film Industry Pays Tribute to Karunanidhi

The entire South Indian Film Fraternity, which includes names like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Surya, Dhanush and many more descended upon Chennai’s Rajaji Hall to pay their last respects to the political leader popularly referred to as Kalaignar.

Respected and loved political leader and DMK president M. Karunanidhi passed away after battling prolonged illness, yesterday. The “Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam” (DMK) President – M. Karunanidhi passed away on Tuesday evening after multiple organ failure due to prolonged age-related illness at the age of 94.
Politicians and celebrities from across the country immediately took to social media to pay their last respects before the five-term Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s funeral.
Legendary actor Rajinikanth, Aishwarya, Dhanush, Ajith, Kamal Haasan, Surya and many more showed up at Rajaji Hall to pay their last respects to the political leader popularly referred to as Kalaignar.
Actor Siddharth took to his social media and expressed his grief, he wrote, “The Last #Tamil Titan has fallen. Former TN CM #MKarunanidhi was an incomparable man. #TamilNadu has lost at once its greatest contemporary political and creative enigma. Our beautiful language #Tamil will miss #Kalaignar #Karunanidhi This void he has left will take ages to fill”
Actor Ranganathan Madhavan also wrote, “Saddened hearing the demise of one of this Nations Most dynamic leader and writer. May his soul Rest In Peace. Condolences to the entire party, family and supporters”
